American Privacy Rights Act

This bill establishes national data privacy rights. It minimizes data collection to what companies need, allows opting out of data processing, requires consent for sensitive data transfers, and mandates access, correction, deletion, and export of personal data. It enables opt outs of targeted advertising and empowers suits for privacy violations, banning mandatory arbitration. It bans discrimination based on personal data, allows opting out of algorithmic decisions and mandates algorithm reviews.
