FAUCI Act
The Fixing Administrations Unethical Corrupt Influence Act would restrict potential conflicts of interest for former top officials of key federal health agencies. It targets those who have worked within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The bill institutes a prohibition on service and profit by former high-ranking officials from these agencies. They would be forbidden from serving on the board of any firm that develops or researches drugs, biological products, or devices for eight years following their federal employment. They are also banned from profiting from these products if they were involved in the grant approval process for the same during their tenure.
