Safeguarding Our Supply Chains Act

This bill proposes the creation of a Supply Chain Crime Coordination Center to collect and analyze data pertaining to supply chain fraud and theft and identify regions, transportation modes, distribution networks, and retail stores that face significant organized crime. The bill calls for the formation of a Supply Chain Fraud and Theft Task Force. This task force will tackle fraud and theft across the U.S. supply chain, focusing on rail, motor carrier, and intermodal systems. The task force must submit a report to Congress within 180 days of its establishment and annually for five years. These reports will assess the task force's efficiency in identifying and dismantling organized theft groups.
