Minimum Wage Requirements

Florida Senate Bill 676 allows employers to not adhere to minimum wage requirements for employees in work-study, internship, and apprenticeship programs, provided those employees voluntarily opt out. This opt-out is facilitated through checking a box or signing a written acknowledgment. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2025, modifying existing minimum wage laws to increase flexibility for certain work-based learning situations.
