Florida Kratom Consumer Protection Act

This bill regulates products containing kratom, derived from the Mitragyna speciosa plant. Processors are barred from selling kratom products or extracts adulterated with harmful substances, or exceed a 2% concentration of the alkaloid 7-hydroxymitragynine. They must ensure packaging includes safe usage directions and no medical claims. The sale of products with high residual solvent levels is banned. SB 842 also bans providing kratom products to anyone under 21.
